Heres a new version of the fork of the Dos emulator DOSbox, heres the release notes:
DOSBox ECE SVN r4074 is released. This is a Enhanced Community Edition. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, etc., necessary for running many old MS-DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux and FreeBSD. However, it is not restricted to running only games. In theory, any MS-DOS or PC-DOS (referred to commonly as "DOS") application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development.
DOSBox ECE differs from normal DOSBox in these features:
* Emulation of a 3Dfx Vooodoo card through OpenGL (No external Glide wrapper needed!)
* 4x, 5x and 6x scaling in windowed mode is possible
* Pixel-perfect output mode for undistorted scaling of the picture
* Improved emulation of OPL3 (a FM sound synthesis chip from Yamaha)
* Improved sound of PC speaker emulation
* Emulation des Roland MT-32-Midisynthesizers
* Integration of Fluidsynth (a software MIDI synthesizer with Soundfont support)

Its the night of front end releases, heres another:
EmulationStation (2018/02/04) is released. EmulationStation is a graphical and themeable emulator front-end that allows you to access all your favorite games in one place, even without a keyboard!
Some of the new features:
A built-in, graphical scraper system. No more using an external Python script. Automatically download full names, box art, descriptions, release dates, and optionally ratings. You can scrape several systems at once, or just individual games.
A built-in, graphical metadata editor. No more editing XML files by hand. Press the “Select” button in the game list and choose “EDIT THIS GAME’S METADATA” to open it. You can scrape metadata from the editor, too.
The old theming system has been completely replaced. The new system is more flexible, but still simple, and much more consistent.
There’s an tag now! No more defining fonts/sounds by hand across 30 systems!
Textlists support left, center, and right alignments, as well as horizontal margins. You can also control line spacing.
Images can now be in SVG format (vector graphics), so they look good at any resolution.
You can now add static text wherever you want.
Themes are now distributed as sets. You can change the current set within EmulationStation itself, without even restarting the program.
Read THEMES.md for examples and more information!
A new “System Select” screen, featuring the logos for all your systems in a carousel. Themable, of course.
A new set of themes done by Nils, for every platform RetroPie supports and more! Each system has a beautiful vector logo!
The old menu (when you press “start”) has been completely redone, in both functionality and style. Along with pretty much every piece of UI.
The input configuration system has been revamped. In addition to looking much nicer, it is now easy to add new controllers after the initial configuration: just select “CONFIGURE INPUT” from the main menu.
An on-screen help system, that shows what buttons do what things.
A built-in settings menu that lets you change:
The screensaver timeout
The screensaver behavior (dim vs. completely black screen)
Toggle framerate display
Toggle on-screen help display
Toggle left/right changing the system in the game list view (forcing you to use the new system select carousel); useful for those with analog sticks.
The screen transition style (“fade” or “slide”)
The current theme set
The global system volume (on the Operating System level)
When scrolling in really long game lists, after a few seconds, the screen will dim and display the first 2 letters of where the cursor is, Steam Big Picture style.
Gamelist.xmls now support relative paths, so it should be possible to transfer them between computers and make portable installations.
EmulationStation no longer closes immediately if you launch it without es_systems.cfg set up properly. It now shows an in-program message box explaining the error.
Upgraded from SDL1.2 to SDL2 with the Raspberry Pi video driver. No more “white dot” when ES is starting.
es_systems.cfg is now in XML, to be consistent with every other configuration file.
An actual website: http://www.emulationstation.org. Huge thanks to Nils for design suggestions/tweaks, as usual. It includes a detailed “Getting Started” page.

I am a massive fan of older games and heres an application right down my street:
Pantheon v6.748 is released. Pantheon is Windows desktop application with collection of games for video consoles and home computers from the past. The games are not the part of the application, instead they will be downloaded (with the game manual or review - if available) from the internet, after you activate the game. Downloaded files are stored on the local file system and will be available offline the next time you wish to play the game. Finally, the program file is loaded into the memory and executed inside the emulator. Current version has emulator of Atari 2600 with collection of 170 games, emulator of Atari 5200 with collection of 50 games and emulator of Atari 8-bit computers with collection of 26 games.
Pantheon is still in development, new features and games are added almost every day. But you may experience occasional artifacts or crashes during the gameplay, and game snapshots may not be available in the following releases.

Its one of them it does what it says on the tin moments, heres the details:
Emu Loader v8.4.4 is released. Emu Loader was created to manage an arcade games emulator called M.A.M.E. With this frontend, you can change practically any option that is available in the emulator, like the screen resolution, sound quality, game options, etc. There are lots of extra features that makes your life much more easier, like the snapshots viewer where all captured images from M.A.M.E. games can be viewed when selecting games.
Emu Loader Changelog:
Fixed
Function uMain.EncodeUnicodeString() was not converting WideString to UTF-8 correctly
Timer frozen while loading MAME software list games at startup (splash screen)
Fixed a bug in my TPanelEx component for proper Windows themed "Tool Bar" paint style
Some calls to preferences screen were not redirected to "Preferences" main menu event
Setting "http_root" in "mame.ini" was not implemented (it used to be "http_path")
Total play time info corruption ("frontend_dir\arcade\played_games" folder)
- playing a game for 2 minutes was adding 4 hours or so
- MAME softlist games are also affected
- console/computer games were not affected (EmuCon frontend ported systems)
Driver status not set to "Good" when creating Supermodel games list
- "supermodel_dir\config\games.xml" doesn't have "driver status" entries
- selecting a driver status filter other than "List All", makes Supermodel games not visible
- you must create Supermodel games list again for proper games filtering
Changed
Changes to "Export Games List To File" feature (main menu "Games List")
- exported file was not saved in UTF-8 format
- expanded game info options; "Full Format" only
- you can export the file to a format compatible with Microsoft Excel's "import file" feature, using the new "Microsoft Excel Format" checkbox; "Full Format" only
- added a new "Use Games List Columns" checkbox to use current columns settings from main games list; "Full Format" only
- added a couple help buttons with usage instructions
- settings are saved in "el_extras.ini" so you won't have to change settings all over again
- removal of dead code
- several tweaks
Changes and fixes to "Preview Images"
- added a couple variables in "ImageDetails[]" array to keep track of last used image index (max 30 images per category)
- several changes in uMain.LoadScreenshot() function for different image index per image panel
- several changes in "Previous/Next Image" buttons for proper index detection on each image panel (images tool bar)
- removed "Category Prev/Next Auto Switch" and "Layout Prev/Next Auto Switch" settings as they don't work anymore ("Images" main menu)
(use "F11" / "F12" and "F9" / "Ctrl+F9" hotkeys to change categories and layouts... or prev/next category/layout buttons in images tool bar)
- uMain.DisplayImage fuction tweaks to prevent memory leaks, leading to frontend crashes
- feature "Image View Mode" is no more, only layouts are available from now on
- classic view was using single image layout, it makes no sense keeping it
- you can change image category only when in single image layout, with category buttons in images tool bar or in "Layout Settings" screen
- fixed some bugs in load/save layout profiles
- single image layout setting is now saved in "ini_files\screenshot_layouts.ini" file
- tweaks, tweaks, tweaks!
Removed "Internet Game Info" from image categories and made it standalone
- access with a new button in images tool bar
- if this panel is enabled, images and game docs of the selected game will not load
- images tool bar is no longer visible in the internet browser panel; to go back into "images / game docs" just click "Exit Internet Game Info" button
- it requires preview images to be enabled
- renamed file "image_internet.ico" to "internet_gameinfo.ico" in "resources\main_icons" folder
Changes and tweaks to "MAME Settings" screen
- renamed "Video 2" tab to "Video 3"

Its time to relive Pacman and Space Invadors, heres a new release of Stella the Atari 2600 emulator, heres the release notes:
A new version of the Atari 2600 emulator Stella has been released.
February 4, 2018Stella release 5.1 for Linux, MacOS X and Windows is now available.- [*=left]Added "Time Machine" mode, which automatically creates save states in user-defined intervals. The user can navigate back and forth within these states inside the emulator and the debugger.
[*=left]Huge improvements to the disassembly view in the debugger and disassembly files created:- [*=left]reformatting in debugger for better space utilization
[*=left]much improved code and data detection
[*=left]access tracking and indicators for TIA/IO/RAM adresses in disassembly
[*=left]break vector is tracked (if used)
[*=left]improved cycle count (page penalties, sums created in disassembly)
[*=left]improved handling of instruction masking opcodes (e.g. BIT)
[*=left]Fixed change tracking bug during rewind; changes were accumulated instead of being displayed only for the last rewind step.
[*=left]Extended 'rewind' to take a second parameter which allows rewinding multiple states.
[*=left]Added 'unwind' command, which undoes the latest rewind(s).
[*=left]Added '<' (unwind) button to debugger.
[*=left]Thumbulator support is not conditional any more.
[*=left]Moved various developer related settings in new Developer Settings dialog. These settings now come in two groups (player/developer) and allow switching all settings at once.
[*=left]Don't trap write accesses to the datastream pointers in CDF and BUS. This fixes -dev.thumb.trapfatal 1.
[*=left]Complete rework of TV mode and ystart autodetection. The new implementation is more robust and reduces startup time.
[*=left]Add two "grace lines" of black to the top of the frame when autodetecting ystart.
[*=left]Fixed Genesis controller autodetect (Stay Frosty 2, Scramble, etc).
[*=left]Fixed a bug in ystart autodetection that could cause screen jumps.
[*=left]Fixed several bugs in holdselect, holdreset and holdjoyX commandline arguments; these now work as expected.
[*=left]Fixed bug in TIA collision handling; it is now disabled in VBlank.
[*=left]Improve TIA PF collision handling during hblank; this fixes a bug in Thrust ROM.
[*=left]Fixed wrong display of HM values in debugger after 'HMCLR' has been executed.
[*=left]Fixed bug with the debugger 'savedis' command in Windows; it wasn't actually saving the files at all. This has never been reported before, so I guess it shows how many people use that functionality.
[*=left]The debugger 'savedis', 'saverom' and 'saveses' now save files in a default, user-visible directory (see the documentation for more information). In the case of 'saveses', the filename is now named based on the date and time of when the command was entered.
[*=left]Fixed bug with saving snapshots in 1x mode; there was graphical corruption in some cases. Such snapshots also now include any TV effects / phosphor blending currently in use.
[*=left]Fixed regular-sized snapshots when phosphor effect was enabled; sometimes the image was 'double-blended', resulting in a snapshot that was too dark.
[*=left]Fixed crash when selecting 'CompuMate' as a controller type for a non- CompuMate ROM; this controller type can no longer be manually selected, and will be used automatically used for CompuMate ROMs.
[*=left]Fixed cheat codes, so 7 digits codes are now accepted as described in the doc.
[*=left]Fixed swapped ports being displayed wrong in System Logs and debugger.
[*=left]Added options to erase the AtariVox/Savekey flash memory, either for all ROMs or only the current one. Also added a message (configurable) when the flash memory is accessed.
[*=left]Access to the AtariVox/SaveKey can be signaled with a message.
[*=left]Added new interface palette 'Light'.
[*=left]Frame stats display made transparent. Also it now displays the real frame rate and if the developer settings group is enabled.
[*=left]Improved tab auto-complete in debugger.
[*=left]Added conditional traps and savestate creation to debugger.
[*=left]Added 'Options...' button to debugger which gives access to the options menu during debugging.
[*=left]Added debugger pseudo-register '_cyclesLo' and '_cyclesHi', which give the number of CPU cycles that have occurred since emulation started.
[*=left]Added debugger pseudo-register '_fcycles', which gives the number of CPU cycles that have occurred since the frame started.
[*=left]Added debugger pseudo-register '_icycles', which gives the number of CPU cycles of the last instruction.
[*=left]Extended debugger 'dump' command to take a second argument, indicating the end of the range to dump data.
[*=left]Improved change tracking; more values are tracked and change tracking now works in case of a break too.
[*=left]Added widgets for trackball and SaveKey/AtariVox controllers.
[*=left]Improved emulation of 'FE' bankswitch scheme (no user-visible changes, but internally the emulation is much more accurate compared to the real thing). Related to this, improved the debugger support for this scheme (you can now switch banks in the debugger view).
[*=left]Added emulation of 7800 initial RAM values and Pause key.
[*=left]Added ROM properties for 'Scramble' ROMs, and updated info for all "Champ Games" ROMs.
[*=left]Added ROM properties for 'Zippy the Porcupine' ROMs, and updated info for all "Chris Spry (Sprybug)" ROMs.
[*=left]Support UNIX style builds (configure / make) on OSX with both XCode / clang and g++.
[*=left]Fixed error when building with uClibc-ng for ARM (thanks to Sergio Prado).
[*=left]Updated included PNG library to latest stable version.

Heres a new version of the Amiga Emulator for PC, heres the release details:
A new beta version of the Amiga emulator WinUAE is available for testing.
http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae_3610b2.7z
http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae64_3610b2.7z
Beta 2:
- If D3D11 fullscreen refresh rate is default: prefer highest supported refresh rate.
- Use pre-scaled values when calculating aspect ratio in integer scale modes. Note that integer scale value selection uses original values, not aspect ratio scaled values. (Fixing this is more complex)
- Few Application Verifier detected bugs fixed. One could have caused random crash at startup or when saving config.
- Fixed random crash when at least one Input panel custom event string was set, Restart was clicked and then emulation was started again.
http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae_3610b1.7z
http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae64_3610b1.7z
Beta 1:
- Added Elsat Mega Ram HD controller emulation.
- A.L.F.3 HD controller emulation
- Rewritten expansion hardware interrupt handling to make it more compatible with PPC emulation.
- Implemented experimental RTG mode background thread for Amiga side VRAM to host texture color space conversion/copy. Option in RTG Board panel.
- Fixed crash at startup if DXGI 1.4 was highest available version (Windows 10 build 10240 only)
- KS 1.2 boot hack caused a crash in some manually configured UAE boot rom configurations without at least one directory filesystem/harddrive.
- OCS/ECS only BPLCON2 with "illegal" PF1 or PF2 value is now accurately emulated in dual playfield mode. (If BPLCON2 PFx>=5 and matching playfield is not transparent: playfield is drawn using COLOR0 with playfield priorities still working normally)
- D3D11: switching off on screen leds on the fly left static led texture on screen.
- Floppy sound type selection was not loaded correctly from config file (3.6)
- Floppy sound empty drive volume level was used if disk was inserted before emulation was started. (old)
- HDF filesystem loader now skips HUNK_DEBUG and HUNK_SYMBOL hunks instead of aborting filesystem initialization.
- Direct3D11 fullscreen, enter GUI, press save screenshot button: nothing happened.
- Direct3D11 window mouse drag resize now refreshes the display only after resizing ends.
- Do not allow UAE RTG init to succeed if it is enabled but not autoconfigured. (Few versions ago introduced new autoconfig handling broke previous "is this configured test?")
- Some 68000 instructions didn't use correct reversed memory access order in long -(An) addressing mode. (MOVE EA,-(an), MOVEM, ADDX, SUBX)
- Reading real 68EC040 MMU enable/page size TC register always returns zero, emulation now does the same. (Real 68EC060 not yet tested)
- 68040 SRP and URP registers are full 32-bit, 68060 masks out low 9 bits (which are ignored anyway when calculating descriptor table addresses)
- NCR5394 emulation improved (A.L.F.3 compatibility), support use of "Transfer information" command to manually read status and message bytes instead of "Initiator command complete sequence" that was designed for this purpose and all previously emulated 5394 based controllers have used.
- NCR5394 emulation didn't handle situation where data was written to FIFO before true DMA write was started. FIFO contents should be written before DMA transfer starts. (Blizzard SCSI Kit IV in some situations, possibly others)
- Added "Identity" checkbox to Add harddrive panel. If ticked, real ATA identity data is used in emulated ATA device instead of generic UAE generated and drive appears exactly as it does in real hardware (identical name, geometry etc). If checkbox is disabled: used HD controller/adapter does not support reading ATA Identity or drive is not ATA or ATAPI.
- Read Identity now also shows CHS geometry, LBA and LBA48 (if supported), parsed from identity data (if available)
- kickstart_ext_rom and cart config entries support Arcadia and ALG ROM images.
- joyport2 -config entry incorrectly used port 3 slot.
Elsat Mega Ram HD:
- Basic PIO IDE controller.
- elsat.device "ElsatHD 1.0 (09 Oct 1992)"
A.L.F.3:
- SCSI, NCR5394 based.
- Fake DMA, MOVEMs used in transfer loop.
- No official ROM dump available, tested using loadable driver ROM hack.

Never owned an Apple II so not a system i am familiar with but always great to see new releases for older systems, heres the full news:
AppleWin v1.27.0.0 is released. AppleWin (also known as Apple //e Emulator for Windows) is an open source software emulator for running Apple II programs in Microsoft Windows. AppleWin has support for most programs that could run either on the Apple II+ or the Apple IIe. By default, AppleWin emulates the Extended Keyboard IIe (better known as the Platinum IIe) with built-in 80-column text support, 128 kilobytes of RAM, two 5.25-inch floppy disk drives, a joystick, a serial card and 65C02 CPU. AppleWin supports lo-res, hi-res, and double hi-res graphics modes and can emulate both color and monochrome Apple II monitors; later versions of AppleWin also can emulate a television set used as a monitor. Both 40-column and 80-column text is supported.
AppleWin can emulate the Apple II joystick (using the PC's default controller), paddle controllers (using the computer mouse), and can also emulate the Apple II joystick using the PC keyboard. AppleWin can also use the PC speaker to emulate the Apple II's sound if no sound card is available (does not work under NT-based Windows versions). Full screen mode is available through the use of DirectX. Features added to the latest versions of AppleWin include Ethernet support using Uthernet, Mockingboard and Phasor sound card support, SSI263 speech synthesis, hard drive disk images and save states.

If you can find old DOS games on abandonware sites then this emulator is awesome for playing those classics, heres the release news:
DOSBox-X (2018/02/04) is released. DOSBox-x is a branch of DOSBox v0.74.
DOSBox-X Changelog:
* 3Dfx OpenGL state cleanup
* output=opengl state cleanup
* Eliminated OpenGL output kludge that resets state by forcing SDL to shutdown and reinitialize video driver
* Other cleanup
* Losing focus in fullscreen mode now restores the window instead of minimizing it

The other big arcade emulator Mess has a variant of its own, heres the release info:
MESSUI v0.194 is released. MESSUI is a unoffical builds of MESS with NEWUI. MESS is an open source project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
