YoYo Games today announces that GameMaker: Studio, its cross-platform games development environment, will support Microsoft Corp.’s launch of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. GameMaker: Studio allows developers to create games in a single code base and then easily export with one button click and run them natively on multiple formats including HTML5, Facebook, Android, iOS, Windows and OS X. GameMaker: Studio for Windows 8 will be available for developers prior to October 26 while GameMaker: Studio for Windows Phone 8 will be available following device availability later this year.

Gala today officially launches its fusion fantasy MMORPG SEVENCORE on German and French servers. Players can now freely download the game client, log in, play and enjoy the mount-based fantasy MMORPG atsevencore.gpotato.eu.
Together with the official launch, Gala Networks Europe opens SEVENCORE’s special PVP channel, in which players can fight each other and have the chance to win precious, unique items and gain higher XP.
The new “buddy boost” system is also being introduced today. This additional bonus system gives all active players who play more than one character XP boosts for all their characters.

These screenshots show new landscape creatures and troops from the three major factions that are running rampant over the plains of Rohan: the White Hand, Mordor and the Easterlings.
Enemies bearing the sign of the White Hand serve Saruman the Betrayer, who commands them from his stronghold of Isengard. The most dangerous are the mighty Uruk-hai, which the wizard breeds in the deep pits beneath the tower of Orthanc.
The Goblins and Uruks that carry the mark of the Great Eye are servants of Sauron. Amongst the cruelest and most vicious foes to be found upon the plains, these servants of Mordor bear no love for the White Hand. They would gladly turn on them if not for their orders.
Evil men of Rhûn driven back across the Great River centuries ago by the might of the Rohirrim, the Easterlings have returned to wreak revenge on the Horse-lords. Fearless and formidable warriors, they count among their number cruel sorcerers who worship powers unknown.

Tamer Saga is a browser-based anime-style RPG brought by PopPace. Players in Tamer Saga are able to ride on various interesting, awesome mounts which can be only obtained from a guild’s paddock or the in-game divination system before. But now, the development team behind Tamer Saga was very glad to announce that a brand new personal mount system will be released soon. More details are as follows.
Players just need to visit the Event Envoy and complete the level 25 quest “Personal Mount” to activate the system. They are able to enjoy 9 grades of new mounts with distinct shapes in each grade. A mount’s attributes will be enhanced each time it upgrades. Transforming a mount’s shape won’t affect a mount’s additional attributes and movement speed. An Upgrade Gem is needed if players would like to enhance a level 9 mount to a higher grade. Detailed Upgrade Gems can be exchanged with the NPC “Stuff Changer” in the Twilight City. However, players need to prepare enough “Mount Upgrade Shard” and “Mount Upgrade Spar” which can be obtained by defeating monsters in the field or directly being purchased from the Mall.
Crystal Mode, Voucher Mode and Super Mode are available for players to upgrade their mounts. In addition to the mount exp obtained, players have a chance to obtain small Critical Strike by using Crystal Mode and huge Critical Strike by using Voucher Mode. If players continually use Vouchers to upgrade their mounts by 50 times, they have a chance to obtain continual huge Critical Strike.
Players are able to enjoy the personal mount’s attributes for ever no matter whether they ride on mounts or not. A mount obtained from a guild’s paddock won’t affect the permanent attributes brought by a personal mount. Players can foster and upgrade their personal mounts to obtain higher permanent attribute bonuses.

At Midnight 17 September, the creators of ISR released their title onto Greenlight. With players in over 110 countries — along with several appearances on some serious game media outlets like Kotaku and Yogscast — I Shall Remain's producer, Jacob Way, knew it was time for his game to move from its humble start on Desura and make a charge at Steam's Greenlight platform (link:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...535&searchtext=). Within hours, ISR surpassed Greenlight's daily average vote tally threefold, and has been well on its way to the Top 100 list.
I Shall Remain is an action RPG that gives you the responsibility of a US Marine Raider who has awoken in a zombie infested world. The list of game features listed on the game's Greenlight page (link:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...s/?id=97402535) is immense. It touts a complex in-game economy, fireteam creation and management, a powerful story, and a magnificent game map full of unique, explorable buildings to list a few. The creators of ISR also posted fresh video demonstrations and screenshots for the Greenlight crowd.
Steam Greenlight works by allowing players to vote for indie games they believe to be worthy of Steam's incredible distribution network. The games on Steam Greenlight today are on a race to the top and have until October 15 to make their statement. On 15 October, the names of the next 10 games to be brought onto Steam from Greenlight will be revealed.
Way attributes some of his game's success on Greenlight to its position on Greenlight's 'Newly Added' list where he believes his game competes very well with others released this month. Time on the newly-added list is limited though, and he says its important to make it to the top 100 list as soon as possible where ISR will have continued visibility.
"If you're not any of Greenlight's lists," Way says, "It's easy for your game to simply disappear." Way isn't worried though about ISR disappearing into the backlot of games that have languished on Greenlight. "Because of some hard work on our end and consistent feedback from players on how to make the game better, ISR is a game that speaks for itself and makes a strong position wherever its posted up."
I Shall Remain was created by Jacob Way, a Marine veteran out of Hawaii in memory of Cpl. Craig Hodges Jr. from Orlando Florida. It has a current build and free demo available on Desura.

TopWare Interactive AG and Reality Pump Games have released the first batch of screenshots from Iron Sky: Invasion, the official game of the award-winning film Iron Sky.
The space combat sim allows players to shoot down fleet after fleet of Nazi space fighters attempting to invade our planet from the dark side of the Moon, and to stave off the “meteor blitzkrieg” they are using to attempt to bombard our planet into submission. The official “call to arms” has already been sounded on the game’s homepage. Also, any brave pilots in the community can meet up on Facebook to be informed about everything that is happening on the frontline.
As ships such as the Rheingold and Valkyri position themselves for the first attack, players must decide if they wish to fight off the invaders with the fast British Spitfire or the more heavily-armored but slow Japanese Banzai. All ship models have been taken straight from the movie. Each ship class has different advantages giving players the ability to adapt to every unexpected need that will arise doing battle in the Cold Above. Utilizing the game’s real-time star map, players can make tactical decisions about where to jump and which ship class to use for any given battle.
Alongside the screenshots of the Nazi ship classes Rheingold and Valkyrie, as well as the British Spitfire, the Japanese Banzai and Australian Dundee, the batch also features one shot of the huge Nazi Zeppelins which carry the space fighters into the fog of battle. In these gigantic vessels, hordes of enemy ships are lying in wait to leave the hanger and give players a taste of bullet hell.
The game will release for PC and Mac in November 2012. Other versions will follow soon after. The “Götterdämmerung” collector’s edition will contain Iron Sky the movie packaged in with the game.

Reverie World Studios have announced that their MMORTS Dawn of Fantasy is now available for a limited time at IndieBundle.org as part of the Get'em Greenlit Bundle. Dawn of Fantasy is joined in the bundle by two other games - The Sparkle 2: Evo and Depth Hunter. With a total retail value of $53 for all three games, the $5 price for the bundle is an absolute bargain.
All three games are currently listed on Steam Greenlight, Valve's initiative for having the game playing community vote for the games to be released on Steam. Dawn of Fantasy comes with a “Steam Guarantee if Greenlit”, which means that when the game receives the greenlight, existing players will be able to activate their copy on Steam without having to buy another copy.
Reverie World Studios CEO, Konstantine Fomenko, was quoted as saying “This isn't just about getting more votes, we want to reward the people who are supporting us and voting for us by letting them get the game cheaply now, even before it's released on Steam”.
With it's recently announced free expansion pack - Siegeworks and the possibility of being released on Steam, the future is bright for Dawn of Fantasy.

Jagex, the UK’s largest independent games studio, today announced that its popular real time strategy game War of Legends now boasts over 5 million registered users as they announce the latest in a series of updates for the popular game.
“Reaching the 5 million registrations milestone is a fantastic achievement for War of Legends and we are delighted to see the game go from strength to strength. To ensure we are providing the most compelling experience for our players we are constantly adding new content to the game, both for new player and the existing high level players. Today’s update sees the introduction of some of the most challenging content we have ever added to War of Legends, we can’t wait to see what our players make of it.”
This latest update (version 1.5.2) includes a plethora of brand new, high level content designed to challenge even the most experienced of players which includes:

Cradle is a science-fiction first-person quest with freedom of movement. The story is built around the relations of the protagonist and a mechanized girl, who by enigmatic circumstances find themselves together in a yurt among the desert Mongolian hills. The player is to restore the lost functions of his companion's mechanical body parts and together reveal the mystery of the neglected entertainment park found not far from the yurt.
