Windows on ARM really opens up the world of Windows to some great hardware. So great in fact that you'll probably have to buy one yourself if you want one to use at work. But a time will come where you'll want to get your work email and maybe even an app or two. You might already realize that by adding an ActiveSync email account to your tablet opens your new device up to restrictions by your system administrator -- like requiring a lock screen password or the ability to remotely wipe it – and in the Windows x86 world, your company uses things like an Active Directory (AD) Domain and its Group Policies to lock things down. But, AD isn't an option for Windows RT. According to the Building Windows 8 blog, Microsoft has instead built in the ability to connect to the company network to access apps, while at the same time, gives the admin the ability to control all the familiar AD security settings like bad password attempts, complexity requirements and can even verify your anti-malware software status. Of course if you leave the company or just want to use your tablet without entering a password, you can always break the tie and regain control of the security.

Xbox Live coming to Windows 8 doesn't mean Games for Windows Live is gone
Microsoft has confirmed that Games for Windows Live is not falling by the wayside despite the appearance of PC games on the Xbox Live-enabled Windows 8.NeoGamr asked Microsoft if the Windows Store release of Hydro Thunder Hurricane on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview meant Games for Windows was being phased out in the future.
"Answer is no," Microsoft replied. "Microsoft continues to support the Games for Windows platform, but we are making new investments in Metro style games."
"We are committed to delivering extraordinary entertainment experiences across devices in a uniquely connected way. Xbox Live on Windows 8 is a milestone in that journey. With the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, you'll get a taste of some of the features we're bringing with Xbox on Windows, but we'll have more to share later this year as we get closer to launch."

EA and BioWare's big gamble could be faltering, with a peak of 1.7 million subscribers
Star Wars: The Old Republic might already been on the downslide, if forecasted numbers are any indication. A new analyst report from Cowen and Company suggests that the ambitious title is already facing a decline from gamers in the MMO realm. While the game is still forecasted to keep 1.25 million subscribers by the end of the fiscal year, this is a sharp decline from the 1.7 million recorded in February.
Analyst Doug Creutz believes that recent heavy marketing on EA's part could be a sign that a decline is a very real thing. Newer offerings of free trial subscriptions, and free-periods for invested gamers are causing a bit of a stir within the fan community, enough to make EA offer free subscription periods to other "less valued" players.
"We believe that the apparent decline in subscribers is most likely due to a lack of 'end-game' content for the title, meaning that players who hit the level cap have few compelling options in terms of ongoing game play," he noted. "While the game got off to a good start, the relatively light amount of end-game content does appear to be taking a toll."
"We believe EA is attempting to address the end-game content issue, including a recent major game update, but momentum appears to have stalled and we believe it is prudent to adopt a more conservative forecast on subscribers at this time."
Regardless, Creutz says EA's overall outlook looks quite good. With steady revenues coming from PopCap, EA Sports and a continued push in digital sales, EA is looking at a positive end to the fiscal year.

XTEX's 'My Tablet' is $50 cheaper than Amazon Kindle Fire and the 8GB Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet.
The seven-inch device joins a crowded space, but comes with impressive specs. It runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, wi-fi, 1.5MHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 2MP front-facing camera and 16GB internal memory, which is expandable to 48GB.
XTEX reckons the seven-inch tablet's stature is just the right size to compete with the 'too small' five-inch options and 'too big' ten-inch models.
Allen Kiehl, VP, XTEX, said: "Everyone is walking around with a tablet device under their arms. The 10-inch tablet’s become a fashion accessory, like not so long ago when everybody wore cell phones clipped to their belt.
"But just in case fashion and accessorising are important, My Tablet is available in three colors at the time of its launch: black, white, and pink."

Nordic Games GmbH hereby announces that the release of the second stand-alone add-on of the SpellForce 2 series – Faith in Destiny – will be postponed to 19th of June 2012.
“As many already know, hell breaks loose on 15th of May 2012 and may possibly cause a global decrease in productivity, “sick leaves”, and consumption of vacation days. We think that this is a very unfavourable time for the release of SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny and have therefore decided to postpone it. Due to lowered resistance values, even we here at Nordic Games are not immune to said phenomenon and expect anomalies with regards to working hours of our colleagues and employees”, said Philipp Brock, Marketing & PR at Nordic Games.
“Unfortunately, our internal schedule for SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny did not allow for a postponement to an earlier date; therefore, after some productive feedback sessions with our partners, we have decided to release on 19th of June, 2012”, added Gennaro “Genna” Giani Localization and Production Manager at Nordic Games.

Guess what! Witch’s Workshop: Open for Business is now available for download on your Nook and via another Appstore that shall not be named!
It rhymes with Parmesan. Sort of. And it’s like a river in South America. A river in South America that requires four to six weeks to approve the use of their name in a press release. Which is a long period of time. But the point is that you can now download Witch’s Workshop: Open for Business on more devices! Isn’t that fun?
No, we haven’t launched on iOS yet. But we are soon! And, c’mon, be happy with us for this launch on Nook and that other Appstore we can’t name. For these platforms we have to make the game available for a small price ($0.99 to $1.99 isn’t bad, right?) But it’s totally worth it.
What is Witch’s Workshop: Open for Business, you ask? Why, it’s an exciting match-3 and time management game! It's a mystical land of fairies and dragons, witches and wizards, indentured servants and old ladies who need dentures. Yes, that's right. Even in this enchanted place, the peasant folk have their troubles and are looking for a cure! Luckily for them, there's the Witch's Workshop - a one stop shop for cure-all potions. Annie's Aunt Gwendolyn had been running this shop for years until she mysteriously vanished while working on a potion to cure spontaneous invisibility. It's up to Annie to get the Witch's Workshop back up and running.
“What?!?! We have to distribute these games near the Amazon in South America?!” said Ben Lichius, Art and Creative Director at Spark Plug Games. “I didn't sign on for that! They have mosquitoes the size of your head! Did you know that? ...The size of your head!"
