Alon Karmi has released an alpha build for the PC of his upcoming 3D endless runner, Tzunami Run (working title). Built from the ground up by Alon himself in Unity, the game takes the endless runner genre into a new dimension by adding a fully randomized cel-shaded world. Players traverse across rooftops in an effort to avoid the treacherous “Tzunami” waters below in this parkour-inspired adrenaline quest.
While the game is in Alpha testing stages, Alon has opened it to the public and encourages player interaction and feedback to help shape the experience going forward. The current version does not represent the planned final build of the game, as future planned features include:
- Randomly generated enemies
- More building types
- A larger and more dynamic city to explore
- Weapons
Alon encourages all players to leave honest feedback about the current build of the game over on the blog page for Tzunami Run right here. As he continues to work on the game, add new features and improve it further, all input is appreciated.

Exercises have concluded for the Preseason Challenge of the World Domination Series (WDS). After six weeks of relentless fighting across the war-torn world of Auraxis, only one Empire was left standing when the dust settled - Vanu Sovereignty.
As the other Empires attempt to rebuild to their former glory, preparations are being made for a special Anniversary Edition of the WDS this November. Celebrating a year at war, optimizations are being implemented to the WDS to facilitate an even playing field across all Empires.

Warner Bros. latest Dark Knight effort Batman: Arkham Origins finished ahead of indie gem The Stanley Parable to grab the top spot on this week's Steam top ten sellers list.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 finished behind the pair in third, while Football Manager 2014 grabbed the fourth spot.
A discount promotion late in the sales period helped Saints Row IV to a fifth place finish, just ahead of pre-orders for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The Void seems to hate your hunger for independence, so he goes after you, vanishing everything he finds on its way only to try to absorb you back. Your only weapon to make your way through the end of the adventure are the colors you find along the stages of the game, each one has a power to modify the scenario. The use of colors, along with the melancholic loneliness of the game game, sets the perfect mood to present some really challenging situations to the players. Also, is impossible to forget to mention the hand-drawn graphics and the moody and melodic music composed by the brilliant Álvaro Lafuente.
The human story behind.
As it happens in the first stage of the game itself, Nihilumbra for its own was a leap of faith, in a gaming universe oversaturated with words like "social", "casual", "free to play" or "in-app purchase", a few students wanted to make a game in the old fashion, something that you pay for once and enjoy for your whole existence. That's Nihilumbra, a game about existentialism, full of challenges and meaning. Released for iOS platforms in early 2012, the initial goal was to raise the quality bar to try to stand out from the average mobile titles in the always overcrowded AppStore. A year and a half after, we can say we achieved it, the great critic reception (remarking iTunes’ Best of 2012: Hidden Gem award) fueled us to port our game to other platforms, like PC, Linux and Mac, and in the future to platforms like Wii U and Android.

Nexon announced the launch of a major content update for Dragon Nest, one of their most popular titles.
Beginning today, veteran players who have reached the Max Level (60) will have access to a wide variety of new content, including a new Desert Dragon Nest. The third Dragon Nest in the game, the Desert Dragon Nest gives players a chance to acquire the most advanced gear available in game and also includes three new zones and seven gates. With this new update, players will now be able to explore the Desert Ship, Dry Mirage Garden, Storm Lookout Tower, Desert Dragon Temple, Mushroom Stone Valley as well as several other new locations. This update also brings two new mini games, “Find Ed’s Jar” and “Break the Cactus,” which offer extra rewards.
As part of the new content update, the difficulty level for the five existing Dragon Nests, - Cereberus, Manticore, Apocalypse, Archbishop and Titan - will be increased to lv. 60. Players will be able to pick up new nest rewards, including epic equipment and quality Sparks.
Just in time for Halloween, special holiday-themed costumes, items and rewards will also be available to players based on the amount of time spent in game. Special items include pumpkin heads, a spider decal, devil’s tail, ghost transformation potions and sour apple candy.
Dragon Nest follows the story of a band of adventurers as they battle the corrupt dragons and their followers in order to save Altera, the once pure and beautiful land created by the goddess Althea. Players can join their friends and battle hordes of evil creatures and boss monsters bent on destroying Altera.

Perihelion Interactive has released the first gameplay trailer for its Tsarist space opera RPG The Mandate, which received its world debut at an exclusive presentation on the Game Stage at the MCM London Comic Con on Sunday 27 October.
The begins with neutral starship Zukov issuing a distress signal after it is assaulted by pirates. This signal is intercepted by a player who is commanding battle squadron Azimov which is loyal to the Empress of The Mandate. The player engages the pirates giving them the chance to surrender and withdraw, but battle ensues. One rule, no quarter.
The packed presentation at MCM London Comic Con at ExCel London by Perihelion’s James Condliffe (Character Artist) and Michael Douse (Community Manager) revealed the inspirations behind the ambitious sci-fi RPG, as well as highlighting combat elements, crew dynamics and how to design your ship and captain.
A brief video teaser depicting the component also debuted during the MCM London Comic Con, which show a 3D model of a ship’s captain.
The Mandate is currently in the top 3 on Steam Greenlight and was the first Kickstarter campaign to have ever presented on the Game Stage at the MCM London Comic Con.
About The Mandate
The Mandate is a six-player, cooperative, sandbox sci-fi RPG, planned for release Q1 2015 on Windows, Mac and Linux. Set in a dystopian future controlled by a Russian Empire inspired by the Tsars of history, you take on the role of a captain at the helm of an evolving, dynamic ship that a crew of hundreds call home. As captain, you’ll command a crew of officers selected and honed by you, taking them into epic space battles, boarding operations and galaxy exploration. Shortly after the release of the stand-alone add-on GIANA SISTERS: TWISTED DREAMS – Rise of the Owlverlord for PC Black Forest Games strikes again. On Monday 28th the indie-studio releases an action-packed Halloween level full of owls, pumpkins and challenging Jump’n’Run fun. There will be two modes: normal and hardcore. The DLC will also be available for GS: TD Rise of the Owlverlord and it will be for free.
Adrian Goersch, Managing Director of Black Forest Games explains: “That’s our way to celebrate Halloween with all the Giana Sisters fans out there. Knowing that the question will be raised: Since there is an extensive submission process required for consoles, we are currently not working on bringing the DLC to PSN, XBLA or WiiU. For all those playing Giana on console: there are several things planned for 2014.”
Giana Sisters:Twisted Dreams is the only Kickstarter-funded game to be released on every major current-gen platform.

AMD has launched their new top-end Radeon R9 290X graphics card today. The new flagship wasn't ready in time for AMD's recent October 8th launch of midrange product, but their top of the line model, based on the GPU codenamed Hawaii, is ready now. The R9 290 series GPU (Hawaii) is comprised of up to 44 compute units with a total of 2,816 IEEE-2008 compliant shaders. The GPU has four geometry processors (2x the Radeon HD 7970) and can output 64 pixels per clock. The Radeon R9 290X features 2816 Stream Processors and an engine clock of up to 1GHz. The card's 4GB of GDDR5 memory is accessed by the GPU via a wide 512-bit interface and the R290X requires a pair of supplemental PCIe power connectors—one 6-pin and one 8-pin. Save for some minimum frame rate and frame latency issues, the new Radeon R9 290X's performance is impressive overall. AMD still has some obvious driver tuning and optimization to do, but frame rates across the board were very good. And though it wasn't a clean sweep for the Radeon R9 290X versus NVIDIA's flagship GeForce GTX 780 or GeForce GTX Titan cards, AMD's new GPU traded victories depending on the game or application being used, which is to say the cards performed similarly."

Low-cost 3D toolkit for entry-level game makers gets its first beta on October 31
The Game Creators, the award-winning maker behind App Game Kit, has revived plans for a brand new version of its low-cost game engine for the PC.
FPS Creator Reloaded is a community-funded project that was originally pitched by the software-making duo a year ago, but failed to spark enough interest.
Since then, however, their ambition to provide tools for entry-level developers has received more attention thanks to App Game Kit, their mobile and tablet-focused development package, the second iteration of which is now underway.
The FPS Creator Reloaded project has so far raised over $100,000 in support of its development.
Users can pledge direct to TGC to gain early access to beta versions, the first of which is due to begin on October 31st.
An FPS Creator Reloaded is billed as an innovative and easy to use game creation program.
“For the first time you’ll be able to easily build your own high quality games to match those of the big developers,” said Rick Vanner, development director at The Game Creators.
The editing system in FPS Creator Reloaded works in a straightforward manner. User paint and sculpt their 3D world with their mouse, add in game characters and other game elements, such as buildings, weapons, foliage, and then test it for themselves.
Reloaded has been built so that almost every aspect of a game be customised, giving users the means to make their gameworlds special.
Bob Duffy, developer community manager of Intel, said: “As Intel Black Belt developers, The Games Creators represent a calibre of development that is both innovative and exceptional. This is well demonstrated in FPS Creator Reloaded which looks to be an awesome game creation tool for both novice and accomplished developers.”

Blizzard is to release a new World of Warcraft retail SKU on October 29th.
The pack will include the original MMO game, as well as all of the additional content released since its launch in 2005, up to and including the latest expansion pack – World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
The latest expansion pack, World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, which was released last year, will not be included.
The collection is similar to the World of Warcraft Battle Chest pack, which was released in 2007.
The pack will have an SRP of £9.99.

 With the next-generation Surface now on sale in 21 countries, Microsoft probably needs to clear out whatever Surface Pros are still lingering in warehouses. As such, the company has taken $100 off both its 64GB and 128GB Pro slates, bringing their base prices to $699 and $799, respectively. According to the fine print, the discount is only available to customers in the US and Canada and will stay in place until December 31st, or likely when the units sell out, whichever comes first. While it's not the biggest price drop, it mirrors the company's $100 reduction back in August and gives those on the fence 200 (dollar) reasons to consider it over the new Surface Pro 2.
