WEBZEN, announces an upcoming update for RAPPELZ. Epic VIII Part 3 will bring new taming options, daily quests and 4 revamped dungeons. RAPPELZ Epic VIII Part 3 will be released in the near future in Europe and United States.
The new expansion will raise the pet taming feature to a completely new level. Expanding upon the ideas that were introduced in RAPPELZ Epic VIII Part 2, players will now have the chance to tame in-game bosses in the upcoming update and turn them into powerful allies. With this new taming system, game heroes will be able to acquire a pet that is relevant to their class and there will be more than 30 bosses that users will be able to tame.
In addition to the new boss taming system, the upcoming RAPPELZ Epic VIII Part 3 expansion will introduce exclusive daily quests. With 25 new daily quests in total, each quest will be rewarded with special coins that can be used to obtain powerful items. Daily quests will be rewarded with extra experience points so new players will get a chance to level up faster and still be rewarded with the coins.
Moving further, four instances that were added with the previous Epic will be reviewed and renewed. New level options will allow players to choose the difficulty that matches their skill level, by selecting one of 4 different versions, and each one will provide different rewards. Thanks to that, the dungeons will become more accessible for everyone regardless of their in-game experience.
Last but not least, the player’s inventory will be completely revamped and will become more user-friendly and intuitive.
While waiting for new information about the upcoming expansion all users across the globe can participate in our annual Halloween event and get precious rewards. In addition to this, all RAPPELZ fans in United States can take a part in the 7thRAPPELZ Anniversary and enjoy several different events organized specially for this occasion.

Next-gen consoles finally have a competitor to be fearful of – the PC.
UK trade body UKIE has revealed to MCV the latest data from its digital charts project, which shows that the market share for PC games (boxed and digital) has risen five per cent for the first half of 2013, closing the gap on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The full report, which you can read right here, shows that PC games accounted for 22 per cent of all software sold during the first half of the year. PS3, in comparison, accounted for 25 per cent.
These statistics do not factor in sales of smartphone and tablet games, where localised data remains out of reach. For now.
The UK download chart for Q2 2013 hasalso been released, which reveals that SimCity was the No.1 game of the three month period, followed by BioShock Infinite in second place. EA was the No.1 publisher in terms of combined boxed and download sales, followed by 2K Games and SEga.
Simulation games are by far the most popular genre on PC during Q2, accounting for 23 per cent of all PC game sold.
Read more on the UK PC market right here.

This brings to mind an earlier Slashdot discussion about whether we've hit the limit on screen resolution improvements on handheld devices. But this time, the question revolves around ever-faster graphics processing units (GPUs) and the resolution limits of desktop monitors. ITworld's Andy Patrizio frames the problem like this: 'Desktop monitors (I'm not talking laptops except for the high-end laptops) tend to vary in size from 20 to 24 inches for mainstream/standard monitors, and 27 to 30 inches for the high end. One thing they all have in common is the resolution. They have pretty much standardized on 1920x1080. That's because 1920x1080 is the resolution for HDTV, and it fits 20 to 24-inch monitors well. Here's the thing: at that resolution, these new GPUs are so powerful you get no major, appreciable gain over the older generation.' Or as Chris Angelini, editorial director for Tom's Hardware Guide, put it, 'The current high-end of GPUs gives you as much as you'd need for an enjoyable experience. Beyond that and it's not like you will get nothing, it's just that you will notice less benefit.'"

FPS Creator Reloaded, the Ultimate Game Creator for PC is here!
Award winning developers and Intel Black Belt developers, The Game Creators, today revealed FPS Creator Reloaded, a revolutionary new game creator for the PC.
FPS Creator Reloaded is heralded as one of the most innovative and exciting game creator programs in this fast moving sector - and one of the easiest to use.
"For the first time you'll be able to easily build your own high quality games to match those of the big developers." said Rick Vanner, Development Director at The Game Creators.
The game editing system is simplicity itself - in FPS Creator Reloaded you just paint and sculpt your 3D world with your mouse, add in game characters and other game media like buildings, weapons, foliage, then just test your game to try it out. Every aspect of Reloaded can be customised so that games can be unique and different.
Bob Duffy, Developer Community Manager of Intel said, "As Intel Black Belt developers The Games Creators represent a caliber of development that is both innovative and exceptional. This is well demonstrated in FPS Creator Reloaded which looks to be an awesome game creation tool for both novice and accomplished developers."
FPS Creator Reloaded is a community funded development. The project has so far raised over $100,000 in support of its development. Users can pledge direct to TGC to gain early access to Beta versions and become active members of the community.
"We've been developing FPS Creator Reloaded with the help and feedback of our community and this has helped mould the development for the better. The visual quality on FPS Creator Reloaded is of the highest standard, meaning that all the games you make will look and play great" commented Lee Bamber, CEO & lead developer at The Game Creators.

Trilobyte Games, LLC today announced the final episode in the studio’s blockbuster franchise; The 7th Guest: 3, and unveiled a new Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign designed to underwrite production of the videogame.
The 7th Guest was released in 1993. At the time, Bill Gates called it: "…the new standard in interactive entertainment." The title sold over 2 million copies and drove hardware sales. The sequel, The 11th Hour, was released in the fall of 1995.
“We’ve been waiting to make The 7th Guest: 3 for a long time,” said Rob Landeros, co-founder, creative director and CEO of Trilobyte Games. “The team’s in place; new puzzles are in development, and the most notorious villain in all gaming, Henry Stauf, is poised to return and finish the story that begin in The 7th Guest. With the launch of our Kickstarter campaign, we’re turning to our fans and the gaming community to provide the only remaining ingredient, development and production funding.”
In The 7th Guest: 3, Stauf's house is filled with 20 devilishly clever puzzles that will test wits-and scare even the most jaded gamers. The house is not only filled with puzzles, it is a puzzle; one gigantic, mechanical mind-bender. To complete the game and the story, players must solve every puzzle in the house and the puzzle of the house itself. Only then will the final, dreadful secret of that brilliant madman, Henry Stauf, be revealed.
While the gameplay of T7G3 will fairly closely follow that of The 7th Guest and11th Hour, Trilobyte plans to thoroughly leverage touch-screen, mobile technology, and modern standards in video-game presentation to bring players the 7th Guest of their fondest dreams (and nightmares)! “We are committed to staying true to the spirit of the original 7th Guest,” said Landeros.
The new Stauf mansion will be rendered in beautiful high-definition, extensively renovated and furnished with hundreds of interesting new items. The house's remodelers won’t stint on redecoration. The grand, revamped edifice will be something of an historical museum.
“We estimate development and production time of approximately one year to finish this final episode,” said Landeros. “Our team is already working and we’re the kind of studio that delivers on its promises, so be ready.” Company officials note that the price of the new game is not yet set, but is anticipated to be in the $29.95 per copy range for PCs and Macs.
Kickstarter is all about rewards. And Team Trilobyte has cooked up some creative incentives to motivate its target funders. “How’d you like to be immortalized in a blockbuster game?” asked Landeros. “At the highest donor levels, we reward backers with portraits and busts of their likeness at prominent points in the mansion – as well as a producer’s credit on the title. True fans may secure, with a major donation, an invitation to dine with Stauf in costume, party with the team, and tour the actual mansion modeled in the game.”
