HowZat is the world’s first free online multiplayer cricket game. Players are now able to create, customize and play with their own teams against others around the world. Players will be able to compete against people from all over the world on the Internet from within their browser at www.howzat.com.
HowZat fuses real cricket action with manager functionality, enabling players to set up, evolve and play with their own team right within your browser, with no installation required. Batting teams enjoy 20 shots for a realistic simulation of the game, while the bowling side can chose from a variety of deliveries. Players improve their teams over time by earning ‘Points’. Users are even offered the option to customize their player names, team uniforms to any color they wish. Game Ventures believes that sports game fans are an underserved market online and plans to expand its presence in the niche in the future. The current state of the art for cricket games also leaves much to be desired.
“We wanted to make an online multiplayer cricket game with high production value, without losing fun or community elements. We think no other sport has a game online this detailed.” said Zaki Mahomed, Chief Executive Officer, Game Ventures Pte. Ltd.
Plans are underway to expand the game to the Facebook platform by December of this year. Future versions of the game will contain virtual goods like better gear for teams, realistic stadiums from around the world and coaching to make their players better over time.

Electronic Arts Inc today announced that Battlefield Heroes™, the hit Play 4 Free third-person shooter has recruited three million registered players. With endless hours of signature Battlefield sandbox action and a built-in matchmaking system to ensure new and old players of equal skill levels are paired together for fair play, Battlefield Heroes is EA’s popular web-based free to download, free to play title. G5 Entertainment today announced Virtual City for PC.
In Virtual City, players build and develop the city of their dreams, whether suburban utopia or bustling metropolis. Virtual City players begin by choosing from dozens of residential homes and industrial buildings, and the possibilities from there are limitless. As their cities grow, players can produce and transport goods, create mass-transit systems, and entertain their city's residents with parks, cinemas, stadiums and events. In order to keep the city safe and its citizens happy and healthy, basic services like health care, public safety, waste collection and recycling must be planned and administered.
Virtual City combines a robust city-building simulation with intuitive, easy to understand controls. First-time players will have no trouble learning how to play, while more experienced gamers will find enough depth and variation to keep them enthralled for hours.
As players construct their cities, they must keep the happiness of their citizens in mind. Virtual City cities must be guided through economic downturns, population crisis and the consequences of natural disasters. All the while, a careful balance of Income, Environment, Population and Happiness must be achieved in order to maintain a content citizenry.
Additional Virtual City features include:
• 50 challenging levels in five states: Colorado, California, Michigan, Montana, New York
• 18 distinct mission scenarios
• Free-play mode in five large sandbox maps
• More than 50 types of buildings, with upgrades available
• 25 types of goods to transport
• Seven production chains to master
• 16 achievements to earn

Those looking for Silkroad Online’s ultimate challenge should prepare for the first Hotan Fortress War taking place on Christmas Eve, December 24.
