I spoke of the rumour some months back and its true, Chankast the Dreamcast emulator for Windows is also coming to the Xbox Console.[br][br]Heres what Garrofi posted Himself:[br][br] Hi,[br][br]About our missing in action. Chankast has been a very stressful project, it needed a lot of time to get it working. We did an incredible work to get the first release working in only 3 months, it was a full time work. After the 0.25 release I didn't feel like doing chankast again so I took a long break, but[br]we have been improving a lot of things in that time. The emu is faster and need less memory to work, an early xbox version is working, it's great to see shenmue 1 on xbox , the sound is better, ...[br][br]About the future, we are thinking about releasing the source code and a binary with the latest changes.[br]Garrofi [br][br]Discuss below

Chankast is the emulator of the year a true defining moment in emulation and one that has made history for all sorts of reasons, as a pure emulation fan you can see its a real great emulator, i take my hats off to the authors.[br][br]Hopefully this will bring a lot of new people to the scene when they see what they are missing, the Homebrew scene is the best there is.[br][br]Now the bad side, any emu for any system brings the topic of Piracy and to that end its a shame, hopefully the next release of Chankast will support Homebrew and can be used as a development tool. Id like and encourage all people on the forums to test homebrew for us and see if theres a way to get it working and have a Homebrew Compat list.[br][br]Now the ugly, if your on one side of the fence or the other, i do respect all views but there comes a time when ive had enough.[br][br]So from now all commercial talk about Chankast can go to our hosts forums at Emutalk [br][br]We still want your Homebrew and Non GDrom compat screenshots in our forums.[br][br]Anyone no matter who they are who breaks the rules will be sorted

Chanka or Chankast the very highly anticipated Dreamcast Emulator for Windows has been released. [br][br]The Emulator itself comes in 3 flavours, a normal alpha, new gfx and a capcom hack download.[br][br]Info from the official Site [br][br] Chankast is an advanced SEGA DREAMCAST emulator for x86 platforms.[br][br]This project started 3 months ago, it's a joint venture between baktery, unai and garrofi. It hasn't been easy, a lot of hours and headaches, but we think it's time to release an alpha version. We hope you will be surprise, you can play commercial games at a decent speed with a 2ghz CPU. Chankast is a very fast emulator with no hle parts.[br][br]We haven't done this emulator to promote piracy, it's a tribute to the great DC.[br][br]The emulator is far from perfect, expect new releases with more speed, better graphics, better sound, and more compatibility [br][br]Download from Here
