Viva la evolution: New Dark Messiah media

Arkane Studios' forthcoming fantasy romp Dark Messiah might primarily be an action game, but the title still features RPG elements courtesy of a character evolution system. In a nuthshell, this system is of the branching skill variety and allows players to 'instruct' their character in the ways of stealth, magic and melee combat, with the option of creating a hybrid hero or excelling in one particular skill line.

Anyway, new Dark Messiah screenshots and a trailer that have been released shed further light on this character evolution system, the trailer additionally featuring a hefty dose of gameplay footage. Enjoy.

Dark Messiah is set in the world of Ashan and finds players strapping on hero boots as lead character Sareth, who is caught up in events involving an apocalyptic prophecy.
