Unity 4 launches public beta

The makers of the Unity engine have released a public beta of Unity 4.
The highly anticipated version adds linux and flash exports, a new character animation system, and DirectX 11 rendering.

Unity Technologies say this version truely levels the playing field, allowing small teams access to the resources to make AAA Quality games.
Those interested in taking the new tools for a test drive can download the beta here
