300 students descend on 48-hour Windows 8 development contest
A game Jam taking place at the University of Bedfordshire this weekend has broken the world record for most attendees at a single location.
Organised by Microsoft and Train2Game, 299 students descended on the University to develop games for Windows 8 in just 48 hours.
More than 20 games were created during the game jam, and have been submitted for review to the Windows Store.
Team 22 were awarded as the winners of the competition, and won a VIP trip to Rare as well as a number of other Microsoft-related prizes.
The record was officially adjudicated and awarded by Guiness World Records, with a plaque presented to the students on the final day of the event as recognition for their achievement.
