The Tryst Demo is now available on Steam! Challenge other players from around the world or set up a game against the AI! Get a taste of a new real-time strategy game based on traditional and familiar gameplay.
But Tryst is not just the same old thing! Tryst developed by Indie Developer BlueGiant Interactive, is a competitive RTS that provides unique spin to the established strategy model by combining player choice with unit customization.
In the demo, you can join the multiplayer lobby and host games on the Ignius map. You can join any game being hosted by someone with access to the full version of Tryst. Demo players are limited to playing the Human faction.

Tryst’s core design focuses on its Tech Tree or A.R.M. Similar to a talent tree in RPG’s this feature allows a player to customize their units according to their needs and wants. Of course, taking one upgrade means you forego other possibilities. The Tech Tree’s clear and distinct presentation makes it easy for players to provide their units with special abilities and upgrades on the fly.
In the complete game, the stars of the show are the Zali. Unlike the humans who follow a typical structure dependency system, the Zali devote themselves to different Shrines, each standing for a particular playstyle. Players choose to devote themselves to a particular path or mix different Shrines. Depending on their choices, they unlock different units, abilities and defensive structures.
What makes the Zali stand apart from the Humans, however, is their ability to merge their basic units together to create more powerful combatants. This combined with their ability to reanimate themselves and reconstruct units from the remains of their fallen, makes the Zali a truly formidable foe.
If those many systems weren’t enough, units from both sides can level up to become better versions of themselves. The humans gain experience through combat. The more a unit is used, the better it becomes. For the Zali, they require resources and time to gain the enlightenment they need from the Altar of Knowledge.
Tryst’s maps offer its players the opportunity to more thoughtful approaches to their battles by introducing environmental hazards and points of interest; both of which, when used correctly or at the right time, can drastically alter the way an engagement might have ended.
Story and Campaign – Immerse yourself in a single player campaign that takes place on different locales and builds the universe that is Tryst. Find that your decisions shape your Heroes and even later missions in some subtle and not so subtle ways.
