The moment Swine Flu was announced two things were instantly inevitable – firstly, that the media would go crazy, and secondly, that a number of casual games based on the virus would emerge.
The New York Times carries word of what’s believed to be the first pig cold-related game – the imaginatively titled Stop Swine Flu. It sees gamers sneezing on fellow pedestrians in an effort to spread to bug as efficiently as possible.
In reality the game is nothing but a cleverly re-branded version of Sneeze, a game released earlier this year. Its creators, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, claim its purpose is to spread awareness of the dangers posed by sneezing.
Elsewhere online, a second title called Swine Flu: Handemic has also hit the wires. This one sees players catapulting pigs across the border from Mexico to the US in an effort to rid the country of the animals.
