A demo for the latest game in the Fireglow's Sudden Strike WWII RTS series, Sudden Strike 3: Arms for Victory, is now out for download.
Sudden Strike 3 apparently "will push the boundaries of the RTS genre with some notable interface innovations, huge troop numbers [battlefields can handle up to 1000 units] and enormous map designs that will demonstrate that size does matter."
Sudden Strike 3's single-player action is spread over six campaigns with British, American and Russian, German and Japanese land, air and naval forces represented.
It appears the sequel's slipped slightly to early December (it was originally expected at the end of this month).
Keep eyes glued to CVG for a saucy Sudden Strike 3-related competition hitting the site soon.
