Reports indicate that Lucasart's highly anticipated next-gen title Star Wars 1313 has been halted following last year's acquisition by Disney.
Kotaku has received word from three different sources, all of which claim that development of the game is on hiatus. However, LucasArts has remains adamant that work on the title is on-going.
It is believed that following Disney's buyout of the Star Wars franchise, the brand has developed concerns over the title, particularly surrounding the title's failure to tie-in with the new Star Wars films, which were recently announced by Disney.
Initially revealed at last year's E3 expo in Los Angeles, Star Wars 1313 had already undergone significant revisions, with the game originally pegged as an open-world title, similar to fan-favourite Knights of the Old Republic.
However, budgetary concerns in 2010 saw the title scaled back, whilst the game saw a complete writing overhaul following the cancellation of the associated TV series.
Despite George Lucas himself reportedly sharing his excitement over the planned title, new owners Disney are believed to be not so enthusiastic towards releasing a game with no association to the new fins.
Given how impressive the game's unveiling at last year's E3 was, Star Wars fans and gamers alike will be hoping some from of deal can be reached in order for the title to reach its release.
