Sony Online Entertainment has teamed up with LucasArts to create an all-new Star Wars MMO.
Browser-based PC game The Clone Wars Adventures will be a free-to-play title aimed at a family audience.
It will be based on the cartoon world seen in the Clone Wars TV shows and movie - and will be released online and in real shops in the autumn.
"Clone Wars Adventures will be the most authentic and accessible Clone Wars experience for kids and families to play in their very own living room," said LucasArts publishing chief Mary Bihr.
Players will be able to subscribe to a monthly membership to access more content.
The game will feature starfighter combat, racing, puzzles, tower defence-type games and more. Players can also purchase Star Wars outfits, items and accessories through micro-transactions using Station Cash, SOE's virtual currency.
It's been built using SOE's Free Realms engine.
"Clone Wars Adventures is the ultimate destination for fans of The Clone Wars series and will bring the action and excitement of the show to players online so they can experience the The Clone Wars universe firsthand" said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment.
"We've worked with LucasArts and Lucasfilm to create a virtual world that is seamlessly integrated with the TV series and a true extension of the show. It's also just flat-out fun to play."
LucasArts and SOE have previously teamed up on MMO Star Wars Galaxies.
