Konami (via the LA Times) has announced a game based on the 2004 battle for the Iraqi town of Fallujah. Called Six Days in Fallujah, this game is based on recollections, video, and photos from U.S. Marines who returned from the war and enlisted Atomic Games to tell their story.
The LA Times reports that the game will release some time next year and will be a third-person tactical shooter where players take on the role of U.S. soldiers. It reportedly looks like Medal of Honor or Call of Duty, though the goal is to provide players insight into the historical situation while presenting the horrors of war. Documentary-style video interviews interspersed through the game will tell the real-life stories of the soldiers who experienced the war first-hand.
