The BlackBerry PlayBook has been a pretty miserable failure. RIM shifted 500,000 in the first quarter of this year, while Apple moved 11.8 million iPads.
And with BB10 coming later this year and promising all manner of new functionality and UI, one wonders what's the future for RIM's first gen tablet.
Well, the 16GB model's a goner, for a start.
The company has confirmed that it's concentrating only on the 32GB and 64GB models from now on.
But it's still "committed to the tablet space". It just thinks higher memory models offer better value for its users. http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/...laybook/018256
