New S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky trailer

A new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky has cropped up online, showing off the darker atmosphere and the detailed environments representing Chernobyl.

One of the major assets of the original title was its atmosphere and from the looks of the trailer the prequel has it in spades.

Not only does it come through in the in-engine footage, but also in the inspirations for the objects and locations in the game. Based on the photographs shown, they've recreated the nuclear disaster area remarkably well.

The original S.T.A.L.K.E.R went through a lot of iterations over its development, losing numerous features along the way. According to PC Gamer's most recent preview, the prequel could well be the game the company originally intended to make.

If for nothing else, that's worth keeping an eye on for.
