Horror-themed first-person shooter NecroVisioN has been allowed an Australian release following graphical edits to its violent content, according to online reports.
The game, developed by Polish studio Farm 51, was previously refused classification by the Classification Board in Australia, effectively banning the game from the region.
According to Australian games site Games On Net, the game has now been approved by the board with a rating of M, following graphical edits that include enemy blood being replaced by "a gray 'dust' effect."
NecroVisioN is a first-person shooter that takes place in an alternate-history World War I that features zombies. The title was released on the PC in Europe and North America earlier this year to mostly mediocre reception, with review score aggregate Metacritic showing an average rating of 61.
