Social networking site MySpace is to launch an official games channel in 2008.
Through a partnership with Oberon Media, MySpace Games will allow users to customise their web pages with a choice of hundreds of casual games.
"We're very excited to be partnering with MySpace to provide the best social networking casual games experience to its growing audience," commented Tal Kerret, co-founder and chairman of Oberon Media.
"Our white label casual gaming solution is allowing us to create a customised games platform that delivers a great experience to MySpace users.
"We're looking forward to responding to users' needs and to involving the best game developers to create the greatest online entertainment experience. The opportunity to give MySpace users the chance to share the fun and socialize within this rapidly growing media segment is thrilling," he added.
MySpace owner News Corp has been assumed to be targeting gaming for some time. Last week Oberon acquired two new studios in Eastern Europe, while also streamlining its I-play business in the UK.
