Xbox head Phil Spencer will make an appearance at a special Windows 10 event in January to discuss the company's plans for Windows gaming.
The event, taking place at the firm's Redmond HQ on January 21, will see several Microsoft bigwigs offer an insight into the next major iteration of its operating system - and gaming will be a part of that conversation. "I'll be focusing more on what we are doing on Win10 in January," commented Spencer via Twitter.
"It's time for us to talk about gaming on Windows," he added.
According to an official announcement on the event, Spencer will join a panel of execs who will "talk about the Windows 10 consumer experience".
Microsoft's Xbox business has enjoyed a successful end to 2014, withXbox One being the best-selling console in both the US and the UK in November.
This represents a welcome turnaround for Microsoft in the US. According to retail monitor NPD Group, PS4 outsold Xbox One in each of the first ten months of 2014. Prior to November 2014, Xbox One's last monthly sales victory in the US came in December 2013.
