Windows 10 will be launching this summer and Microsoft has revealed there will be a number of editions of the OS.
The versions have been tailored for various devices and uses, to help cater for the needs of different customers.
For example, there is a Windows 10 Home edition, designed for the consumer-focused desktop.
Another edition is Windows 10 Mobile, for smaller, mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. This edition features the same Windows apps as Windows Home as well as a new touch-optimised version of Office.
Plus, Microsoft is also launching a Windows 10 Pro edition, for PCs, tablets and two-in-ones. This edition features many new applications for small businesses, and protects sensitive business data.
"Windows 10 Pro devices are a great choice for organizations supporting Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) programs and prosumer customers," Microsoft said in a statement. "Windows 10 Pro also lets customers take advantage of the new Windows Update for Business, which will reduce management costs, provide controls over update deployment, offer quicker access to security updates and provide access to the latest innovation from Microsoft on an ongoing basis."
Microsoft added: “We designed Windows 10 to deliver a more personal computing experience across a range of devices. An experience optimised for each device type, but familiar to all.
"Windows 10 will power an incredibly broad range of devices – everything from PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One, Microsoft HoloLens and Surface Hub.”
In addition, the tech company is also launching Windows 10 Education and Windows 10 Mobile enterprise.
In other Windows 10 news, the Candy Crush Saga game will also come automatically installed for customers who upgrade to Windows 10 for free, while other games from publisher King will also be available on Windows 10 at a later date.
The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10080 is now also available for phones. The build now supports the Lumia 930/Lumia Icon, Lumia 640 and 640XL, and the HTC One (M8) for Windows.
