There's been little sign of change in NPD's latest list of the top ten selling PC titles in the US, with World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King still firmly ensconced in the number one spot.
For the week ended Saturday, May 9 the top three remained static, with The Sims 2 Double Deluxe (a bundle of the original game and two expansion packs) at number two and Valve's Left 4 Dead at number three.
With no new entries the rest of the top ten merely shuffled position, with the original version of massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft moving up two places to number four. World of Warcraft: Battle Chest (a bundle including the original game, expansion pack The Burning Crusade and two strategy guides) fell one place to number five.
Creative Assembly's strategy title Empire: Total War was down one place to number six, while Electronic Arts' Spore rose three places to number seven. Role-playing game compilation Fallout Trilogy was down one place to number eight, while re-entry Bejeweled Twist from PopCap appeared at number nine.
Expansion pack The Sims 2: Apartment Life rounds out the chart, down one place to number ten. Although there have been no major PC releases for some weeks the imminent release of The Sims 3, on June 2 in the US, is likely to have a significant impact on subsequent charts.
