The multiplayer servers for Halo 2 on PC will not shut down this month, as previously announced. 343 Industries' David Ellis has confirmed that support for the game's multiplayer mode has been extended to June.More interestingly, Ellis hints at possible "further support options".
"Halo 2 PC support extended through June 2013 while we investigate further support options," announced Ellis via Twitter.
343 Industries community manager Jessica Shea last month confirmed plans to shut down the Halo 2 PC multiplayer servers on February 15. According to Shea, the active player count for the game was 20 people.
Ellis offered no reasoning on the sudden change of plan.
