Hack 'n' slash action from The Witcher

Due out this year, The Witcher's an RPG in development at Polish outfit CD Projekt set in the fantasy world created by author Andrzej Sapkowski. New gameplay footage released focuses heavily on combat, main character Geralt wielding his blade and engaging multiple enemies who are dispatched in gouts of blood. He can even deflect arrows with his sword, he's that cool.

CD Projekt is aiming to deliver a role-playing game experience that marries this action with a world where your decisions can alter the way events play out. Yep, we've seen it before, but rather than presenting a game world that's very black and white in this regard instead it treads grey moral ground where the lines between good and evil are blurred. Well, that's the idea at least.
