GOG.com Celebrates the Holiday Season with Tex Murphy for Free

The holiday season is in full swing at GOG.com (http://www.gog.com), as the DRM-free, classics-oriented digital distribution outlet joins forces with WordPlay LLC to offer a free game – no, make that two free games – to all registered GOG.com users. For a very limited time, from December 17 until December 24, the first two adventures of the most popular private investigator in PC gaming history – Tex Murphy – will be available for the low, low price of absolutely nothing to everyone who registers an account at GOG.com. That’s right – two great games for zip, zero, zilch, nada!

The Tex Murphy 1+2 bundle includes the first two parts of the detective games series – Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum. Both games put player in the white sneakers, trench coat and brimmed hat of Tex Murphy, a down-on-his-luck Private Eye who’s always low on cash and neck-deep in trouble. To survive in this cruel world, Tex will take any case, even the one that seems unsolvable.

"It seems appropriate to offer Tex Murphy's first two adventures for nothing, as that's typically how much he gets paid - not surprising when half of your clients double-cross you and/or die!
