After all the fuss kicked up over the supposedly US-only Call of Duty 4 multiplayer beta, it looks like it might be coming to Europe after all.
Stuttering for words, Infinity Ward president Grant Collier told CVG, "we want to make the beta as big as possible and open it up to as many people as possible. Someone started a rumour that it was US only but that's not the case - it's just starting in the US. We're going to constantly add."
He refused to comment on the fair assumption that the beta will come to Europe eventually, but did add that Infinity Ward is "driven to getting as many people into the beta as possible. Yes, then.
When it finally does arrive, the multiplayer beta will have three maps and 65 character "levels", as part of Call of Duty 4's new character building element. There'll also be a variety of weapons, Infinity Ward says, "but not all of them".
We're off to have our first hands-on session (and even more sausages) shortly, so look out for impressions soon.
