Lionhead is not working on a PC version of its action-RPG sequel Fable II, according to a post by one of the developer's employees on its community forums. The post's language leaves room for interpretation, however, as it says, "We're not working on a PC version of Fable II," indicating that it might be possible another studio is handling the duties of bringing it across platforms.
We contacted Microsoft for a comment on the situation and to clarify if Lionhead would start work on the as of yet unannounced PC version soon or if another studio was in fact working on it right now and received the following response: "We have no announcements on future "Fable" franchise projects at this time."
Fable II was shipped out last October for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. Based on what happened with the first game, which was released in September 2004 for the Xbox and later in September 2005 for the PC, some consider it likely a PC version of the sequel will eventually show up.
