As a little teaser for a forthcoming interview with GSC on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Cleary Sky which we'll be publishing soon, we're posting up a couple of exclusive screenshots from the prequel. Take a gander.

Comparing Clear Sky to Shadow of Chernobyl, GSC says that it's new game "is going to be a step forward for actually every game aspect, and now done from the perspective of immense experience gained by the team during the original game development."

(Potential spoiler alert)...

In terms of plot, the prequel explains what happened to Strelok during his early escapades into the Zone and at the same time presents an alternative look onto events of the original game, the dev's explained.

"You will play a different character this time, a mercenary stalker. who, against his will becomes involved in global events in the Zone. Eventually, the player will have to not only keep an eye on Strelok's doings but actually oppose him".
