Exclusive LOTRO Beta key giveaway, plus new movie!

Just before Christmas we promised you massive news on Turbine's epic new MMOG Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and today, happy as Hobbits around a supersize pie dish, we're finally able to reveal we've teamed up with publishers Codemasters to bring you a massive giveaway at the end of this month.

CVG has become the exclusive UK online partner for the upcoming Lord of the Rings Online beta (which will restart at the end of Jan) and as well as giving you a download for the brand new game client, we'll be giving away thousands of exclusive beta keys which you'll need to play the game.

If you live in the UK and you want to experience the LOTRO beta in all its glory, then CVG will be quite simply the only place to be. So keep your Sauron-like gaze fixed on the site week commencing January 29, when all will be finally revealed!

As well as hosting the code and exclusive beta keys, we'll be bringing you insider reports from the game with exclusive movies, pics and assets, interviews with Turbine's development team and even a chance to meet CVG at the Prancing Pony in Bree. We'll also be bringing you amazing competitions, giveaways and prizes which include the ultimate Collectors version of LOTRO which features a life-time subscription to the game!

We have to say that like Mithril-mad dwarves we've been delving deep into the current beta test and, while there's a strict embargo on giving you further details for the moment, we can report it's already shaping up very nicely indeed, with our extensive playtest revealing a splendidly well crafted gameworld and a beautiful looking game which is utterly faithful to JRR Tolkein's beloved fantasy world.

To celebrate our announcement, we've got a brand new exclusive movie from the game too for you today, showcasing the dreaming spires of Duiland, the ancient Elvish homeland - and if you missed it first time around why not cast eyes right to check our exclusive Bree movie.
