MMORPG EverQuest II is letting out its girdle to accommodate Rise of Kunark, a fourth expansion for the game which is due to release mid-November.
As you'd expect, the expansion is going to introduce lots of new content headed up new playable race the Sarnak (dragon-like humanoids) and new starting location Timorous Deep.
Timorous Deep is made up of jungle islands, Sony Online Entertainment has explained, and should carry players through from level 1 to 20.
Timorous Deep isn't the only new zone in the expansion, either. SOE has decided to cast an eye back to the original EverQuest for many of the new zones, with versions of the likes of Karnor's Castle, the Lake of Ill Omen, Sebilis and Veeshan's Peak returning.
Naturally, new zones means new quests, SOE informing that "The tale of Kunark is told through hundreds of new quests, aimed at gameplay of all types: solo, group, and raid." It's also said that guilds, adventurers, and artisans can expect to benefit from a raised level cap, as all level caps are raised to 80, in addition to new solo, group, and raid content for levels 65-80.
Phew... And, new weapons and armour, a new mount - the Kunarkian Rhinoceros - and new deities are being squeezed in.
EverQuest II players can expect Rise of Kunark to release mid-November. It'll be made available via digital download and at retail outlets.
