Dota 2 launches on Linux, OS X

Valve has launched a new patch for Dota 2 that makes the MOBA available on two new platforms: Linux and Mac OS X. Through Dota 2′s beta phase, it was only available on Windows.The update also includes a slew of visual updates, gameplay and balance fixes, and tweaks to the way that matchmaking works. Notably, games will now end once the GG (good game) call has been made by one team or the other. Previously, there was no ability to end a game before one team had destroyed the other’s base.
