Crytek boss Cevat Yerli took the stage at a press event in Frankfurt, Germany, yesterday afternoon to announce the recommended and minimum hardware specifications for Crysis.
So without any further ado...
Recommended for both XP and Vista:
[*]
According to Yerli, the game will run "butter-smooth" on 'High' settings with this hardware specification, although admitted that there would be frame rate hits on 'Very High'. Obviously you'll need Vista to take advantage of the game's DirectX10 features.
Minimum for both XP and Vista:
[*]
We asked Yerli what resolution we'd need to run Crysis at with the minimum specs to get a smooth game. The answer? 800x600.
A Crysis single-player demo - which will feature the first level of the game along with the game editor - is out on October 26. So you'll be able to test your machine with that before the full shooter ships on November 16.
