The single-player demo of Crysis which we were expecting tomorrow has been delayed. Bah.
EA and Crytek have said that the taster will now not be out until October 26.
Whether or not the release of a little first-person shooter called Halo 3 this week has influenced the delay we can only speculate.
The official reason from Crytek is that it's "taking some extra time to make sure you that you have an amazing experience but also we did not want to risk the release date of Crysis at this stage.
"To get the game into your hands by November the 16th, we had to make this call", the developer's added.
You may recall that when EA first announced the original release date for the Crysis demo it was mentioned that there'd be a surprise from Crytek included. Well, the dev's chosen to reveal what that is - the CryEngine 2 - Sandbox 2 game editor.
Crytek's CEO Cevat Yerli has said the release of the game editor before the actual game ships is something the developer's always wanted to do.
Crysis, of course, is out November 16.
