Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse Episode 1 hits Steam, GoG

After a supremely successful Kickstarter campaign, Revolution Software has released the first episode of Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse for PC.
The first of a two-part offering, Episode 1 is available as a digital download via Steam and GoG for $24.99/£18.99, but both are currently running a sale price of $19.99/£15.19 until December 11.
Here's the plot, according to the official blurb:

Paris in the spring. Shots ring out from a gallery... A robbery... a murder... and the beginning of another epic, original Broken Sword adventure.
Playing as intrepid American George Stobbart and sassy French journalist Nico Collard, you find yourself on the trail of a stolen painting - and a murderous conspiracy. A conspiracy whose roots lie in mysteries older than the written word...
Armed only with logic, integrity and a wry sense of humour - can George and Nico save mankind from disaster?

The game will be released in two episodes with Episode 2 due for release as a free update in Q1 2014. Revolution has also recently confirmed that the game will be released for Vita.
