Blizzard looks set to enter the MOBA market and do battle with League of Legends and DOTA.
‘Heroes of the Storm’ has been announced as the title of Blizzard’s MOBA game, which was previously titled ‘Blizzard All-Stars’.
The StarCraft, Diablo and World of Warcraft creator has released a short animated teaser for the game, and has said that further details will be uncovered at next month’s BlizzCon event.
“Set aside whatever you think you knew about Blizzard All-Stars, and get ready for what’s brewing at this year’s BlizzCon,” said Blizzard about the reveal.
Those interested in the two-day gaming convention, which takes place on November 8th and 9th in the Anaheim Convention Center in California, can purchase a virtual ticket from Blizzard, which will let them ‘attend’ the event via an online livestream.
Regardless of the game’s quality, some players might end up confused – the acronym for the game, ‘HOTS’, is already used by gamers to refer to Blizzard’s previous game StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.
