Postal director Uwe Boll has admitted that Blizzard refused to give him the rights to make a movie based on World of Warcraft.
"I got in contact with Paul Sams of Blizzard, and he said, 'We will not sell the movie rights, not to you... especially not to you" Boll said to MTV news.
The director then added, "Because it's such a big online game success, maybe a bad movie would destroy that ongoing income, what the company has with it."
Just to set things clear, that's not a continuation of Boll quoting Paul Sams. That's Boll calling his own hypothetical WoW movie bad.
It says something that when a director admits that even his imaginary movies are not up to scratch.
Boll isn't the only one critical of his work, though. Earlier on in the month, we reported that an online petition campaigning for the director to stop making movies had obtained over 32,000 signatures. As of today, 210,389 people have signed it.
