RIM hints that new OS will hit the tablet late this year.
This is hardly earth shattering news: BlackBerry 10 OS is based on the same QNX platform that already powers the current Playbook OS.
But now TechRadar has coaxed the following comment from Rob Orr, RIM's VP of product management.
"We've said publicly a number of times that our first BB10 handset will be available towards the end of 2012, and that's still firmly the case.
"At some point after the launch we'll bring BB10 to our PlayBooks, yes."
Hardly the most concrete of statements, but it will buoy those who believe the PlayBook is a fine device that's been dragged down unfairly by a poor reputation.
