ArchLord Opens New Server

ArchLord, a persistent online role-playing game from Codemasters, has grown by more than 600 percent since it went to a free-to-play subscription model in August, and the company has opened a new server to accommodate the increase in membership.

To promote the launch of the new server, Evengarda, Codemasters is planning a week-long treasure hunt in which "hundreds of silver, gold and platinum chests will be spread far and wide across the new world."

ArchLord is a fantasy-themed RPG set in a medieval-style world. Every month one player gains control of the world and with it the opportunity to wreak havoc as they are crowned supreme ArchLord. As an ArchLord, players can levy taxes, curse players and control the skies on their dragon mount.
