Sega has blown the lid off Medieval II: Total War - Kingdoms, the first expansion for the RTS, which is due this autumn and will apparently provide fans with "over 75 hours of epic new gameplay".
The meat of the expansion consists of four brand new campaigns causing warfare to erupt in the Americas, Great Britain, Northern Europe and the Holy Land. A total of 13 new playable factions are being introduced, along with 150-plus new units and new hero characters - Richard The Lionheart and Saladin, for example.
Each new hero character boasts new battlefield abilities, Sega has informed.
On top of that lot, Kingdoms features six new multiplayer scenarios, 20 new Custom Battle maps and a new multiplayer mode called Hotseat.
Sega's announcement on Medieval II: Total War - Kingdoms has been accompanied by first screenshots and a trailer, which we've uploaded here for you to pass mince pies over.
