Valve has released a second community-made map pack for Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Titled 'Operation Bravo', the pack contains eight maps created by community mods; seven new maps and one (Seaside) returning from asimilar previous pack, 'Operation Payback'. All of the maps were created by game mods and voted for by the community. For a fee of $5.99, you unlock the maps for play on official servers in Causal, Deathmatch and Competitive modes.
You also gain access to 15 map-themed weapon finishes. As Valve notes, you are also able to invite friends to Operation Bravo matches even if they haven't purchased the pack.
More details are on the official site.
In August Valve released the The Arms Deal Update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, opening a trading service within the game.
The new content "allows players for the first time to collect, buy, sell and trade decorated weapons that they can equip in-game."
